CHAPTER 9 re-write
Brian is learning to make a fire because he needs to keep himself warm from cold nights and from mosquitoes biting him at night. Brian is thinking what to do to make a fire, he is thinking that he need sparks to make fire to ignite a fire. First Brian tried grass and twigs and it didn't work. Brian then thought of paper so he grabbed the $20 dollar from wallet that was in his pocket and rip it into strips and he put it on a pile and lit it with sparks with his hatchet and nothing still. Brian then came out of his shelter and he saw some bark was peeling off the from the trunks it lifted in tiny tendrils, almost fluffs. Brian plucked some of them loose, rolled them is his fingers.Brian then went to his shelter and he grabbed his hatchet and he smashed his hatchet on the cave walls and sparks flew down on his bark pile and the a bit of fire lit up and then died. Brian kept doing it and it keeps dying. Brain feels like giving up but he kept trying and he suddenly remembered that fire needs oxygen and so he blew the fire a bit and he the fire grew and then he called his fire “friend” and he said he would never let his fire go out.
